I hope you like reading and books in general, because we’re about to embark on a fascinating journey to China, where you’ll drop your jaw after visiting this unusual library. While the facade of this huge building looks like a gigantic eye, it probably has nothing to do with the Illuminati. Seriously, eyes are a symbol of enlightenment, so whoever designed this library was on point!
You can go the Binhai Cultural District In Tianjin and see this “architect’s wet dream” with your own eyes. It’s a five-story building covering 34,000 sq.m and can hold well over 1.2 million books. You can just look at the outlandish interior design and you’ll know for certain if you love it or hate it. Here’s the question, though, are all these shelves filled with actual books? Well, as it turns out, most, if not all of these book covers are fake, and the real books are somewhere inside. That makes sense but ruins the magic. Oh well, at least it looks freaking awesome!
Let me know in the comments what book you’d read there first!
