James Bond is the kind of guy we’re all jealous of. He has one of the coolest jobs in the world, looks amazing, gets to drive the best cars, always gets the best girls and he goes to the most beautiful locations on this planet. It’s hard to not envy a life like that.
Since we can only help you with one of those things, let’s take a look at some of the exotic locations James Bond has visited over the years.
Hagia Sophia, Istanbul, Turkey
This amazing building in Istanbul was visited by James Bond in 1963, in From Russia With Love. It is hands down one of the most amazing architectural wonders of the world, and it’s a place where even the greatest atheist could feel God.
Andermatt, Switzerland
This quaint little town was part of James’ journey to defeat Goldfinger back in 1963. Like most typical Swiss villages, it just oozes charm and has an amazing mountain view. There’s no denying that this is a place you’d be happy to wake up in.
Grandhotel Pupp, Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic
In 2006’s Casino Royale, this was where James Bond took Vesper. The movie said it was in Montenegro, but it was actually in Czech Republic. I guess that’s the kind of deception you can expect from a spy movie.
North Shore, Jamaica
James visited this amazing location in 1962 in the movie Dr. No. Can you believe he went back to Britain after this? This guy sure loves his country.
Luxor, Egypt
If you’re into the old mysteries of Egypt, Luxor surely is the place to be. Of course, James Bond’s trip there back in 1977 wasn’t one for pleasure – it was purely business. In The Spy Who Loved Me, James passed through this location as he was following Jaws. Not the shark – the villain with the metal teeth.
Varda Viaduct, Adana province, Turkey
In 2012’s Skyfall, James had to fall from a near 100-meter railway. Well, this is the one. It’s in the Adana province, if you ever wish to see where James Bond nearly fell to his death.
Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur, India
This memorable location from the 1983 movie Octopussy can be visited in Udaipur in India. This is of course the location where bond went full Solid Snake and disguised himself as a crocodile (the movies were kind of silly back then) to swim up to Octopussy’s lair.
Escalier Waller, Tangier, Morocco
Tangier has been the safest ground for international spies for decades. That’s why it is one of the most popular locations for filming modern spy movies, no wonder Skyfall partially being filmed in Tangier as well.
