It’s
a golden time for comedy TV shows, and it’s getting harder and
harder to know what the funniest shows on TV are. Shows come and go
so fast that it’s almost impossible for mere mortals to keep up,
and most good shows are rarely the popular ones in the first place.
If
you’re looking for some good laughs, these suggestions below might
be a good place to start.
BoJack
Horseman
It’s
a horse who used to be a sitcom star who has now reached the part in
his career where no one wants to hire him for a new part. Also, did I
mention he’s a horse? And he lives in a world where animals are
just people. But there’s also regular people. It’s weird, but
good.
The
Eric Andre Show
Look,
I’ll be honest – anything Eric Andre is going to be very weird.
But if you’re into this kind of weird humor, I can guarantee you
that Eric Andre is the best thing out there for you.
Archer
While
the show has gone downhill in the more recent seasons, the first four
or so seasons of this series are probably some of the best comedy
ever seen on TV. It’s basically James Bond if they didn’t put so
much effort into making his alcoholism look cool.
Rick
And Morty
This
show has gained quite a following online and is one the funniest
things on air right now. Mix Back to the Future with the occasional
Star Trek and copious amounts of liquor and nihilism on top of it,
and you pretty much understand what this show is all about.
It’s
Always Sunny In Philadelphia
This
show has been going on for almost 15 years, pretty much doing the
same thing for that entire period, and people still haven’t gotten
bored of it. That can only mean that the thing you’re doing is
pretty dang good, right?
Brooklyn
Nine-Nine
You
can pretty much see this is a modern version of Police Academy. Or
maybe a CSI spinoff if the investigations were done by people who had
no idea what they were doing.
The
Good Place
Imagine
going to Heaven but not really belonging there. Now you’re stuck in
Heaven pretending to be someone you’re not, because you just
discovered that the afterlife is a real thing and you might end up in
Hell.
The
Big Bang Theory
I mean, I can’t not mention this show, can I? They’ve been around for so long, sweeping up Emmy’s everywhere they go. I don’t like it as much as I used to, but I don’t like many things as much as I used to. It might not be the show’s fault, is what I’m saying.
