Celebrities Who Embraced Their Perfectly Imperfect Smiles

A smile is such an important thing when you’re meeting other people. It can show whatever emotion you want it to, and it’ll help the people you’re talking to gauge your emotional state of mind. Sometimes, though, genetics will screw you over with a smile that only a mother could love.

Let’s take a look at some celebrities that have a less than perfect smile, but still managed to make it work anyway.

50 Cent

Luckily, there’s no rule in rap music about your gums-to-teeth ratio, so 50 Cent picked the perfect career to support his smile. Also, in a business where Snoop Dogg and Xzibit can land a career, who cares about looks anyway?

Anna Paquin

Objectively speaking Anna doesn’t have the best of smiles, but it has somewhat become her trademark and part of her look. In fact, it turned her into one of the more recognizable actresses in her generation.

Keira Knightley

Looking like she’s midway through turning into a vampire hasn’t stopped Keira Knightley one bit in becoming one of the most attractive women on the planet.

Morgan Freeman

If you’re looking at this picture and thinking “wait, that’s not what Morgan Freeman looks like”, you’re right. Morgan got himself some teeth implants and now looks like he fell straight out of a Colgate commercial.

Steve Buscemi

Steve didn’t really have much luck when it came to the looks department in general, but at least it gave him that unique villainesque look that’s so rare in Hollywood. That’s what you get when you cast most of your roles based on physical attractiveness, I suppose.

Madonna

Madonna has been slowly but surely turning into a Disney witch, and I guess the small gap between her teeth really doesn’t help. While she was a bombshell in the 80s, there’s a lot of things from that era that haven’t survived the last 40 years.

Vanessa Paradis

While Vanessa’s looks are mostly defined by the gap between her teeth, it didn’t stop her from bagging Johnny Depp. They were even married for 14 years. So what’s holding you back, girls? Dream bigger.
