In the early 2000s, the supernatural, witch-themed series “Charmed” gained great popularity and truly became a cult classic. The first 4 seasons were incredibly entertaining, but then things went downhill. Either way, “Charmed” has introduced us to some of the most gorgeous and talented actors out there. If you ever stopped to wonder what happened to the cast after all this time, we’ve got you covered.
1. Kaley Cuoco — Billy Jenkins
Today Kaley is mostly known for her role as Penny in “The Big Bang Theory,” but a year before she moved in across the hall from the nerds, the actress was cast in the last season of “Charmed” as a young apprentice of the three witches. In 2013, Cuoco married tennis player Ryan Sweeting, whom she divorced two years later, and got into a relationship with Karl Cook. Her latest project was an HBO miniseries, “The Flight Attendant,” which is pretty good, by the way.
2. Drew Fuller — Chris Wyatt
Drew’s career started in the fashion business, but in the early 2000s, he decided to try his luck as an actor and joined the cast of “Charmed”. This might have been the best decision he’s ever made, as the role made him famous and turned him into a sex symbol for teenage girls. However, in recent years, his luck seems to have dried up.
3. Shannen Doherty — Prue Halliwell
Doherty played one of the sisters, Prue, who died at the end of the third season. Shannon went back to filming soon after and remained afloat throughout the years. In 2019, the actress appeared in one episode of the famous TV series “Riverdale.” When the whole COVID thing started, she focused on her health and encouraged everyone to stay at home.
4. Holly Mary Combs — Piper Halliwell
Holly was 25 when she was cast as Piper, even though initially she applied for the role of the other sister, Prue. After starring in such a large-scale project, Combs was featured in “Pretty Little Liars,” where she played the main character’s mother. In 2011, the actress divorced her husband, David Donoho. Now the 47-year-old actress is devoting more time to her personal life than her career.
5. Alyssa Milano — Phoebe Halliwell
Milano was a famous actress even before “Charmed,” but playing the youngest sister Phoebe made her a real star. In one of her recent interviews, Alyssa Milano said that in 2009 she had a miscarriage, and in the 90s often had abortions. Now she is raising a son and a daughter with her loving husband. Alyssa actively promotes charity work and fights for women’s rights. Even at 48, the actress looks amazing and so far doesn’t plan on leaving the movie industry.
6. Rose McGowan — Paige Matthews
“Charmed” was a real breakthrough for Rose, but with great fame came constant problems in her personal life. McGowan’s marriage to artist Davey Digital lasted two years and ended in a divorce. Later, she’d been engaged to Marilyn Manson, but they broke up. Since then, Rose McGowan has been keeping a low profile, rarely appearing in films and TV shows. Recently, Rose has radically changed her appearance and style. She may look different, but you’d still recognize that beauty from a mile away.
7. Brian Krause — Leo White
Even though Krause played the main male role in “Charmed,” he could not get any big parts after that. Then, due to the lack of any serious jobs, he jumped on the wagon and almost destroyed his career. Thankfully, he sobered up in time and got a few smaller roles in “Castle and Dynasty.” Today, Brian rarely appears on television, but you can still catch him on the stage.
8. Julian McMahon — Cole Turner
Like everyone else on this list, Julian’s life changed dramatically after he appeared on “Charmed.” To this day, he continues to appear in movies and TV series, but it’s almost always supporting roles. Now you can see McMahon in the drama series FBI, where he portrays special agent Jess Lacroix.
