Everyone
should have that one piece of
furniture that draws all the attention in the room. A stylish lamp, a unique
coffee table, a chair that looks like it arrived on a spaceship from 2095.
While time travel (and space travel) aren’t possible at that scale (yet?), here

Not every room needs to have an “accent

A Reading Paradise Armchair

My main criteria for a good armchair is
that it should be comfortable, it should feel like it “isolates” you from the
outer world, and it should look cool as heck. This chair combines all three.
The “wall” on the left makes you feel like you’re in a cozy corner nook, the
armrest on the right has a perfect place for your morning coffee or evening
tea, and the rest of the chair has space for all the books that you’re going to
want to read while you’re sitting in the chair. I want it.

Cat Privacy

Not all
furniture has to be for you! Don’t be selfish – get something special for
your four-legged friend! Like this cat shelf by MYZOO! Your cat will absolutely
love it. It will know that nobody’s going to bother it with petting, but it
will still be able to see everything that’s happening around the room.

Honestly, I
wouldn’t mind a space like that for myself, if it was possible.

Alien chair?

When I was talking about furniture from
2095 I had this specific chair in mind. It’s just a concept design for now, but
if it were to go into production it would consist of 8 magnetized cylinders
that you could place in any shape you want. If you stacked them all nicely it
would look like a modern-looking armchair, but if you messed things up a little
bit? It would look like a chair designed for an alien body.

Rocking Lamp

I’m not a fan
of impractical lighting solutions, but something about this lamp really
intrigues me. It seems to take up a lot of space, it doesn’t seem to be making
that much light, but imagine how cool it would look to turn this on in a
dimly-lit room during a party with your friends? So cool. I want this lamp by
Ovuud, please.

This one isn’t
for your living room, that’s for sure! But having a reception desk like this in
your place of work would certainly make a bold statement to anyone who comes in
for a meeting or a job interview. It combines the modern elements of glass and
LED lighting with the sturdy, natural tree trunk that serves as the “anchor”
for this astounding piece of furniture by ACDF Architecture.

A LOUD Table

Yeah there’s
Google Home and Home Pod and Alexa. But what’s their purpose other than a
glorified Bluetooth speaker? Why even have
a bluetooth speaker when you can have a whole entire Bluetooth table by

I don’t have
much to say about this clothespin table by Vincent Begogne other than that it
is as cool as it is weird.

What’s better
than furniture that goes well with the room? Furniture that blends in with the room.
