Sometimes in life, you
just pick a job that sticks. Usually it’s in a good way or bad way, but very
rarely you get a job that’ll stick on you both ways. For regular people, this
doesn’t matter all that much since – let’s be honest – nobody cares as long as
it pays the bills. It’s different if you’re in showbiz though.
Here’s a few actors
that accepted roles that’ll always be a blessing and a curse to them.
Rupert Grint – Ron
Weasley
Sure, being Ron made him famous and filthy rich, but have you seen Rupert do any acting since the Harry Potter movies stopped?
Chris Tucker – Ruby
Rhod
Oh how happy Chris
must’ve been to land a role in a sci-fi action movie with Bruce Willis, who was
at the peak of his fame back then. It didn’t help his career at all, though:
everyone will always remember him as the annoying character from the Fifth
Element.
Jennifer Aniston –
Rachel Green
Much like Rupert
Grint, it seems like Jennifer Aniston is pretty much the only one that hasn’t
had many significant acting roles since Friends ended.
Heath Ledger – The
Joker
Despite this role
cementing Heath Ledger as one of the great actors of his time, the mental and
emotional toll it took on him sadly led to Heath taking his own life.
Robert Downey Jr. –
Iron Man
After going through a
rough spill in his private life, the Iron Man part was RDJ’s ticket back up in
Hollywood. He took it and absolutely nailed the role, but hasn’t really managed
to shake off his Tony Stark persona, on screen or not.
Jim Parsons –
Sheldon Cooper
Another victim of being the most unique character in a successful TV show, Jim Parsons has gained many awards for his performance as Sheldon. Awards, but no other roles.
