Marvel fans from all over the world are anxious to see the new Avengers: Infinity War that will unite Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers in a fight against the mighty powerful Thanos. Naturally, there are dozens of rumors surrounding the new movie, including exposed secrets and a bunch of spoilers. Tom Holland admitted that to prevent script details from leaking Marvel Studios kept the cast in the dark as to what was going to happen next. They simply received one script page at a time! But despite all the precautions, some facts did get out. Here are 10 crazy facts about Avengers: Infinity War that will blow you away.
Resurrection of Quicksilver
We’ve all seen Quicksilver die in Avengers: Age of Ultron, sacrificing himself to save Hawkeye, but is he really dead? Rumor has it that Kevin Page will bring back each and every hero who’s been featured in the Marvel Universe, which means we can easily meet Quicksilver as well as other fallen heroes. How would this happen? For example, Doctor Strange could use time travel to bring him back.
We’ve all seen Mjolnir being destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok, but this doesn’t mean that Thor will enter the new battle empty-handed. Some concept art from Avengers: Infinity War leaked out showcasing Thor and Rocket Raccoon, with Thor yielding a new cool weapon. Fans believe it’s Jarnbjorn, a mythical axe Thor used to have in the comics series. Who knows, maybe it’ll be even more awesome?
Expect to see Peter Dinklage in the new movie
Game of Thrones became a legendary TV show during the last few years, so it’s only natural that directors want to invite GoT actors to play parts in their movies. This time Peter Dinklage, who played the witty Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, is being courted by the Marvel Studios to take part in the new Avengers movie. Fans are going crazy trying to figure out who he’s going to play. We’ll have to wait and see!
Death is on its way
It seems that lately screenwriters like to go all Game of Thrones on their characters and Avengers: Infinity War is not an exception. After all, there is a word ‘war’ in the title, so casualties are unavoidable. Many believe it will be either Captain America or Iron Man. Each of them has played an important part in the Marvel Universe, so it’s time to let the younglings save the day.
Spidey gets a re-design
Peter Parker might have rejected Tony Stark’s super suite in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but he’ll definitely rock a new look in the new Avengers movie. How do we know? Well, it was all in the Comic-Con trailer, so we’re up for a huge treat with Spidey sporting a new suit packed with unknown superpowers.
Framestore will do the VFX for the movie
Framestore is the British visual effects company standing behind some of the most spectacular modern movies, including Doctor Strange, Beauty and the Beast, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2. This means the new Avengers movie will become a spectacle everyone expects it to be. We can’t wait to see it!
We’ll see lots of Scottish landscapes
Scottish landscapes have drawn dozens of directors with their ethereal views. The main production of the movie moved to Edinburgh soon after the filming started and now everyone is speculating that Scotland may become the point where one of the major Thanos attacks will take place. Either way, the Scottish Highlands will provide a truly spectacular backdrop for the battles in the upcoming movie.
Thanos will become the new Darth Vader
At least that’s what Joe Russo is trying to achieve! He wants Thanos to become one of the greatest villains of all time, portraying a character that is complex, sociopathic, and darker than anything we could ever imagine. We’ll have to wait and see whether the character will deliver on this promise!
Captain Marvel will be there somewhere
Frankly speaking we didn’t expect Captain Marvel, played by the gorgeous Brie Larson, appearing in the new Avengers movie with so many characters needing their own screen time. And yet, the casting sheet that got leaked in winter had Brie Larson on it, meaning that we’ll get to see some action from Captain Marvel as well. Whether she takes part in the battle or simply gets some post-credit screen time, it’ll be great either way.
Avengers: Infinity War will be fully IMAX
While most movies prefer to have only certain parts filmed in IMAX DMR for the sake of budget, this is definitely not the case with the Avengers: Infinity War. It will become the first ever movie fully shot in IMAX. Forget about awkward aspect ratio shifts during the scenes, this movie will be as smooth as silk!
